MAHTARLAM CITY (BNA) Afghan security forces by launching a military operation succeeded to clear most of Alishing district, eastern Laghman province from existence of armed oppositions.
The military operation has started yesterday by participation of hundreds Afghan security troops with support of Afghan air forces in the district.
Sylab army corps in the east of the country by releasing a statement said, dozens regions in Alishing district have been cleared from being of armed oppositions within the last 24 hours.
Six terrorists were killed and several others were wounded during the military operation so far, the statement added, saying the military operation continues till the district completely clear from existence of anti-government militias.
According to another reports, Afghan security personnel by discovering and confiscating seven round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent several bloodiest incidents in crowded areas of Laghman province.
Taliban fighters are responsible for the foiled mine plantings.
