Asadabad (BNA) Security officials of Kunar province reported from clearing of several regions from insurgents in parts of the province.
Clearing operations started at least a month ago in parts of Asmar, Ghaziabad districts with attendance of hundreds of militaries and continue there.
ANA senior commander in east of the country told BNA, in latest action, several regions of the province have been cleared from insurgents.
He said, the security forces have succeeded to discover and destroyed several strongholds of Taliban and Daesh fighters in Ghaziabad and Asmar districts.
So far, at least 100 insurgents including Pakistani fighters were killed and dozens other have been wounded.
The operations continued in parts of the mentioned districts.
Providing security for citizens and space for parliamentary elections has been slowly read out of the major oversight of the launch of the operation.
