Kabul (BNA) Nineteen Taliban rebels were killed following air attack carried out by Afghan air forces in southern Helmand province yesterday.
Mohammad Omar Zawak spokesman of Helmand governor told BNA correspondent, the terrorists have been targeted by Afghan air forces in Adam Khan and Sarbalandi villages of Garashk district of the province.
Also 12 others insurgents were injured during the attack, Zawak added.
Taliban militants with exploding two vehicles packed with explosive materials wanted to capture security checkpoints in relevant areas of Garashk district, but fortunately Afghan security forces failed their heinous plans.
