Kabul (BNA) As a result of a blast a commander of local police and six others were martyred, and thirteen people wounded in Zabul province.
A commander of local police and his three soldiers and three civilians were martyred in the blast.
The explosion occurred while the convoy of Mujahid, a local police commander was passing an area known as Qala Khail, of Shahjoi district the day before yesterday.
Muhammad Jan Rasoulyar, Deputy Governor of Zabul Said in this incident Mujahid, a local police commander with his three men and three civilians martyred and thirteen wounded.
According to him women and children were also among the injured and martyred.
Eye witnesses say the armed Taliban had planted the mine in a busy road.
Local officials in Zabul province blamed the armed Taliban for the incident and security personnel started research for identifying and arresting of the perpetrators of the explosion.
Meanwhile doctors in a health center in Zabul reported the health status of six injured is critical.
