Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, in separate phone conversations with a number of ANDSF officers on duty at the front lines yesterday morning praised their valor, commitment and high morale for protecting their people and country.
President Ghani, as quoted in presidential press office statement, conveyed his best regards to their families and comrades in battle fields and said, “As Commander-in-Chief, I am proud of each of our soldiers, officers and NCOs and strongly support you.” “Afghanistan National Army is the backbone of the security and stability in our country,” added the President, assuring that he would continue to regularly contact with ANDSF at every corner of the country.
While lauding the country’s Special Forces, President Ghani termed their capability and commitment unprecedented in the region and said the Office of National Security Council will adopt necessary measures to address their recommendations in terms of equipment and other enablers.
The soldiers on the front lines assured the President in return that they will defend every inch of their soil and never allow the enemy to achieve their heinous plans.
They also shared their recommendations and needs in terms of equipment and supplies and expressed gratitude to the President for directly contacting with the forces and hearing their challenges and recommendations.
