Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA) The Shaheen 209 army corps personnel reported from heavy casualties of Taliban in North of the country.
Shaheen 209 army corps releasing a statement told BNA, during the three days of Taliban operations, 179 Taliban including 15 commanders of them have been killed by security and defense forces and 77 other Taliban have been injured.
According to the statement, the insurgents were killed in Kunduz, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Jawzjan, Balkh and Faryab provinces.
In the past three days, several Taliban command and control centers have been targeted and destroyed, and a considerable amount of their weapons has come to the hands of the military forces, said the statement.
It is mentionable that, seven militaries have been martyred and 15 others were also injured in the operation.
