Lashkarga (BNA) Three armed insurgents were killed and ten others wounded in an operation launched by Afghan security forces in Helmand province the day before yesterday.
Colonel Hekmatullah Haqmal, police chief of Gereshk district said the Afghan security forces conducting a cleansing operation in Zambeli and Mir Mandab areas of Gereshk killed three insurgents and wounded 10 others.
According to Haqmal, three national army troops were also wounded in the operation.
According to police chief of Gereshk, 15 mines were discovered and defused.
