Kandahar (BNA) A series of explosions were prevented in south of the country today.
Security and defense forces discovered and defused 38 mines planted by Taliban on busy roads in Kandahar, Helmand, Uruzgan and Zabul.
A senior official of Atal Army Corps in south told BNA that the Taliban intended to target military and civilians by setting off a series of bombings and causing panic in the community.
No one has been arrested in connection with the bombings.
