Clearing Operations Leaves 49 Militants Dead: MoI

Kabul (BNA) At least 49 armed oppositions were perished and 31 were injured following joint clearing operations conducted by Afghan security forces in different parts of the country yesterday.
Ministry of Interior (MoI) press office issued BNA, the operations were launched to suppress armed insurgents and protect the lives and properties of people in insecure areas of Zabul, Helmand, Paktia, Logar, Urozgan, Kandahar, Nangarhar, Sar-e-Pul, Faryab, Herat and Takhar provinces.
It is mentionable that 16 insurgents were arrested during the operations as well, the source added.
