Neli (BNA) Five Taliban insurgents were killed in clashes with security forces in Daikundi yesterday.
Gol Agha Sajjadi, a spokesman for Daikundi police chief, told BNA that the Taliban were killed in Zaain village of Patoi district, Daikundi when they attacked a checkpoint of popular force which faced with sever resistance of the force.
Sajjadi added that four members of the popular uprising were also martyred in the incident while the reinforcements arrived from the center to the scene, other members of the Taliban fled.
The source added that some enemy’s weapons also remained on the battlefield.
