Ahmad Zia Massoud Visits Kabul Bala Hesar

Kabul (BNA) Ahmad Zia Massoud, special envoy to president in reforms and good-governance affairs accompanied by acting Ministers of Information and Culture and Urban Development paid a visit to the Kabul Bala Hesar the other day.
According to BNA correspondent, acting Minister of Information and Culture, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen said that Ahmad Zia Massoud and a number of the government officials’ visit to Kabul Bala Hesar to review its condition and future of the area.
Dr. Raheen asserted that Bala Hesar, having long remembrances during the past centuries was one of the historic areas of the capital and destroyed in various incidents, adding that despite of all these, Kabul Bala Hesar had kept its historic position and today the government was determined to renovate the area with close efforts of urban development ministry and all other relevant organs.
Meanwhile, acting minister of urban development, Dr. Hassan Abdullahi asserted that Bala Hesar and Kol-e-Hashmat Khan of Kabul should have their historic honors according to Kabul City master plan, adding that Kol-e-Hashmat Khan could be also changed to a green spot and a beautiful park for the people of Kabul. He added that ministry of urban development was determined to adopt particular measures for renovation of the area, saying that the project would be planned under supervision of Ahmad Zia Massoud.
