Farah City (BNA) Six Taliban militants were killed and eight others wounded following recent clashes with Afghan security forces in western Farah province the night before last.
Toryali Abidyani Farah security commander told BNA, Taliban carried out attack on a security checkpoint in Farah-Rod highway, which their attack repulsed by Afghan security forces and the militants with giving casualties were forced to flee from the area.
Abidyani added, two Afghan security forces were injured following the clashes.
Meanwhile, Dadulah Qani a member of provincial council of the province said, with presence of Taliban militants Balablok, Pashtroad and Khak Safed are the most restive districts of the province.
