President Karzai, NATO’s Secretary General Hold Meeting

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai and Andres Fogh Rasmussen the secretary general of NATO held meeting in Brussels the other day and exchanged views on the modalities of NATO presence in Afghanistan after 2014, BNA reported. 
Besides welcoming the president in NATO’s headquarters, Rasmussen said that taking over the security charge of Afghanistan by the Afghan national security forces is a big achievement.
Describing a stable and secure Afghanistan as the common objective of both NATO and Afghan government, Rasmussen stated that NATO will continue to support Afghanistan beyond 2014.
President Karzai pointed out that Afghan security forces are fully prepared to take over the security responsibility of their country and its people.
However, he noted that a delegation should be constituted to continue talks on the modalities of the presence of NATO in Afghanistan after 2014.
The president also held meeting with the deputy premier and foreign minister of Belgium the other day.
