Kabul (BNA) spokesperson of the national department for security (NDS) Lutfullah Mashal said that an attempted terrorist attack on the US embassy. Ariana Hotle and presidential office was foiled. This attempt was made by a three-group member of Sarajuddeen Haqani terrorist network who were arrested recently by this department personnel. The three persons are students of agriculture department of Paktia University by the names of Mohammad Karim Zekria, teacher of Logar Darul Mualemeen Ruhallah and student of Kabul University enginnering faculty Sardar Wali. The plan for the attack was designed by Haqani network commander Mawlawi Sayed and Mula Taj Mir who are living on other side of Durand Line. Their plot was detected and these pennons were arrested by the personnel of the department. The group has confessed their crime. All the three are residents of Logar province. He also informed of the arrest of another five-member terrorist group and said that Khayal Pacha, a resident of Ismayel Khail, Ahmad Farid, Omran and Sedeeq are residents of Khost, Gul Nawaz is the resident of Ismayel Khail who were busy carrying terrorist activities in Khost province. Some explosives a vehicle and arms have been taken from this group were also seized. Another terrorist group which was transporting explosives from Pakistan was also arrested in Nangarhar province. One of the three person group is a resident of Landi Kotal of Peshawar is named Ghulam Rasul, another person is Abdul Qahar a resident of Nangarhar province and the third is resident of Sara Rud who were carrying around 530 kg of explosives hided in 8 bags and the explosive was kept in a sarai in Nangarhar province.
