Deputy PM Baradar Inaugurates Construction Project of Herat-Ghor Road

 

KABUL (BNA) In a ceremony held on Sunday, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Deputy Prime Minister on Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, officially inaugurated the construction project of the Herat-Ghor road.

The event was attended by top officials, including Sheikh Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, Governor of Herat, and Mawlawi Ahmad Shah Din Dost, Governor of Ghor, as well as military commanders and local officials.

During the ceremony, Deputy PM Baradar underscored the pivotal role of the transportation sector in the country’s economic growth and reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to prioritizing its development.

He highlighted ongoing dialogues with neighboring countries to facilitate the reconstruction and advancement of this crucial sector.

The commencement of practical road reconstruction projects, including the Herat-Ghor road, was announced by Deputy PM Baradar, signifying the Islamic Emirate’s dedication to improving infrastructure across the nation.

The Herat-Ghor road holds immense significance as one of the country’s key national projects, serving as a vital link between the provinces of Herat, Ghor, Bamyan, Daykundi, and Maidan Wardak to Kabul via ground transportation.

Deputy PM Baradar also emphasized the potential economic benefits that will arise from the completion of this project.

Addressing the residents of Ghor, Deputy PM Baradar assured them that the Islamic Emirate remains fully committed to initiating further development projects in the province.
