Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani received elders from Nooristan province at the presidential palace yesterday, his office said.
The elders shared their provincial problems including reconstruction of the provincial education department’s building, corruption and reconstruction of the Lycee dormitory, with the president pledging to meet all the problems, according to the statement.
The president thanked the elders of the province for the people including men and women and the religious scholars’ firm decision in defending the country, under the ongoing strict condition, according to the statement.
The president, according to the statement, vowed to start asphalting of the Nooristan highways and he himself to oversee the process, and emphasized for cooperation of the people to ensure security, as according to him, this year, the country enjoys strong air force and full preparation against insecurity.
The president said in order to secure regional reforms, there was a need for unity among the people and asked them for getting united to overcome corruption.
