MoIC Condemns Terrorist Attack On Tolo TV Staffs

Kabul (BNA) Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) has termed the attack against the mini-bus of the Tolo TV staffs as a coward act of terrorism and condemned it in its strongest terms, BNA reported.
In a statement released here, MoIC said that the terrorist attack against the mini-bus of the Kaboora Production staffs on Wednesday once again claimed the lives of some employees and injured numerous others.
Committing terrorist attacks in any name is against Islamic teachings and Afghan culture and deserve all kinds of condemnations and we condemn it, the statement added.
Terrorists should understand that Afghans won’t bow before terrorism and barbaric acts, the statement asserted, noting that attack against press freedom would further strengthen the resolve of Afghans in backing freedom of expression.
Minister of Information and Culture, Abdul Bari Jahani, besides condemning the attack said that attack on a journalist is attack against freedom of expression in Afghanistan.
Addressing the memorial ceremony of the victims of the terrorist attack, here the other day, Minister Jahani said that terrorists are the enemies of human being and do not recognize border.
“Terrorists are the enemies of Afghans”, the minister said, adding Afghans with national unity can overcome the problems of terrorism.
Former Presidential Advisor on National Security, Rangin Dadfar Spanta, Minister for Women Affairs Ms. Delbar Nazari and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Nabi Farahi also spoke on the occasion and condemned the Taliban attack on the employees of Tolo TV as coward act of terrorism against press freedom in the country.
