Kabul (BNA) Joint session of board for implementation of tobacco control law and cable networks union was held Sunday at ministry of information and culture.
In the session, deputy minister of publications for information and culture Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi by stressing on importance of social safety and health of citizens and pointing to legal and national responsibilities of media said attention to social safety and citizens’ health has been included as a significant principle in regulation and procedure of establishment and operation of private media and it was determined that it would be considered as a significant principle in modification of mass media law.
Related to harm of tobacco and by pointing to enforcement of tobacco control law, deputy minister of publications asked media in particular televisions to pay full attention to verdicts of the law and aware citizens of harms of tobacco and avoid broadcasting of points and commercials advertising such products.
