Kandahar (BNA) A group of assailants attacked a police checkpoint in Kandahar this morning.
At the beginning, a car bomber reportedly detonated his explosives in front of the checkpoint in Marof district and other assailants clashed with security officials.
Kandahar police spokesman Jamal Nasser told BNA that four attackers have been killed so far.
He said reinforcements have been sent to the area and the battle is still going on.
