FAIZABAD (BNA): Acting Information and Culture Minister Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwah considered the smuggling of historical artifacts as a form of plundering the identity of the country, emphasizing the preservation of historical monuments and structures during a meeting with the director of information and culture in Badakhshan province.
During the meeting, Maazuddin Ahmadi, the director of information and culture in Badakhshan, stated that they are actively working to protect historical buildings and prevent the smuggling of artifacts.
He also mentioned the recent discovery of seventeen historical structures and archaeological sites in Badakhshan, emphasizing that there has been no unauthorized excavation in these ancient sites.
