Kabul (BNA) Chief Justice Abdul Salam Azimi received the Stephen McFl and the US ambassador on the rule of law here yesterday.
In the meeting matters pertaining to the projects supported by USAID and implemented by the judiciary came under discussion.
While expressing his gratitude for the US support, the chief justice noted that the support has yielded positive result and the Supreme Court hopes the support for the capacity building of judiciary would continue for the development of judiciary and management.
The US diplomat for his part, noted in the meeting that the US attaches great importance to support judiciary in Afghanistan, saying the US wants judiciary system in Afghanistan to become enough capable and play its role for ensuring the rule of law in the country.
