Afghan Military Officials Stress On Pakistan Honest Cooperation

Kabul (BNA) Senior military officials of Afghanistan and Pakistan discussed yesterday on joint counterterrorism.
A number of senior officials of Afghanistan National Army (ANA) in a meeting with air deputy to Pakistan chief of army staff discussed on joint counterterrorism and cooperation between the two countries. Lt. Gen. Murad Ali Murad, deputy minister of defense told the Pakistani delegation, “The people of Afghanistan and Pakistan with common culture and religion want their military officials to have good relations and further consolidate confidence environment as the two countries’ nations are facing with common enemy; therefore, honestly cooperation of the two countries in counterterrorism could further strengthen friendly and brotherly relations, adding we should make use of this opportunity to take the set relations to practical and real stage.” Lt. Gen. Mohammad Dawran, Afghanistan chief of army staff deputy on air affairs told Pakistan chief of army staff deputy on air affairs, “We believe that the more we have honestly cooperation, the more our brotherly and friendly will be strengthened – as terrorism is a common enemy for the two countries, regional efforts of the two countries will be effective to defeat it.”  In the meeting, Marshal Sayed Mohammad Khan, Pakistan chief of army staff deputy on air affairs assured that Pakistan was ready to provide any kind of cooperation with Afghanistan in this regard. Meanwhile, the Pakistani delegation accompanied by Afghanistan air force commander and paid a visit to air force technical workshops.
