Kabul (BNA) The First Vice-President Mohammad Younus Qanooni in a meeting with a delegation of Association for Tribal Solidarity of Afghanistan on Sunday called for the transparent results of the second round of the presidential election.
According to BNA in the meeting, , the chairman of the association besides briefing on the first round of the election stated that the people of Afghanistan want fair elections in their country, noting the people believe that the transparent results of the election give legitimacy to the next government of Afghanistan.
The Vice President while appreciating the association for tribal solidarity of Afghanistan for its initiative towards strengthening national unity among the people of the country, and hoped for vast participation of Afghans in the second round of the presidential polls. He also noted that the concerned bodies dealing with the election process should discharge their responsibility fairly.
Qanooni also pointed out that the outcome of the election linked to the national process and said, “We would act impartially in the process.”
