4th Academic, Research Seminar of Milad-e-Kabul Held

Kabul (BNA) 4th academic and research seminar of Milad-e-Kabul (Kabul Birth) was held in Babur Garden by Kabul municipality on the other day.
The seminar was attended by Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, Kabul mayor, a number of parliamentarians, Kabul university teachers and knowledgeable figures.
At the beginning of the ceremony, message of Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was read out by Kabul mayor Eng. Mohammad Younus Nawandish. A part of the message said, “I’m happy that Kabul municipality has continually held every year academic sessions, seminars and festivals titled “Milad-e-Kabul” since the past four years.
This year the municipality also launched cultural programs and festivals for academic and research seminar by opening of which, 4th festival of Milad-e-Kabul is beginning. I believe experts in each section will deliver their subjects related to history, geographic history, culture and development of Kabul, but I’m asking the experts and participants in seminar to review urban living in Kabul and its problems and find a way for solution of such problems.”
Following, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture talking about the history of Kabul said, “Our Kabul, our dear capital and old-aged Kabul, having centuries of bright history and facing also with dreadful incidents for centuries, needs to be renovated. It needs lots of work and efforts to be done for Kabul. If we build a corner of the city, another corner needs building. Therefore, for honest renovation of the historic capital, we need huge budget, patience, knowledge and long time.”
