Ministry of Foreign Obliged To Follow-up Agreements With Regional, World Countries

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani held video conferences with Afghanistan ambassadors to the neighboring countries including Iran, Pakistan, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan as well as India the other day.
During the video conferences attended by foreign minister Salahuddin Rabbani and his deputy on political affairs Hekmat Karzai, the ambassadors briefed the president on Afghanistan’s relations with the mentioned countries and also forwarded their proposals for further enhancing relations with the nations. The president also briefed the ambassadors about his coming visits to Iran and India and would also invite Tajik president to visit Afghanistan. The president instructed the ministry of foreign affairs to set a mechanism under which could follow up Afghanistan relations with the regional and world countries. President Ghani also instructed the foreign ministry officials to enhance Afghanistan’s relations with the neighboring countries and the world. The president also noted that Afghanistan poses no threat to any country. The ministry officials were also obliged to bring reforms in the ministry as well as to Afghanistan embassies abroad. According to another report, the president in similar video conferences held with the governors of Nangarhar, Laghman, Nuristan and Kunar provinces the other day informed about the situation in the mentioned provinces. Attended by minister for public health, acting ministers for public works and defense as well as agriculture and head of local organs directorate, the provincial governors briefed the president about their strategic performances and also presented their proposals for the improvement of the affairs in their works. The president instructed the interior minister Noorul Haq Ulomi to visit eastern provinces and review the security situation there.
President Ghani pointed out that the government would do its best to improve the security situation and solve the problems of the people, adding more authority in the fields of finance and administrative would be given to the provinces. Instructing the public works ministry to take urgent step towards solution of scale on Kabul-Turkham highway and take necessary steps to check corruption and refer corrupt officials to Attorney General Office. The president also ordered the acting minister of public works to check contracts and make sure that roads should be constructed with good quality and action should be taken against those break the law. President Ghani said he would soon send delegations to find solutions for the municipalities of the eastern provinces.
