Kabul (BNA) Newly-appointed chancellor of Kabul University was introduced yesterday by minister of higher education to the university lecturers and administrative personnel.
Based on proposal of higher education ministry and approval of presidential office, Hamidullah Farooqi has been recently appointed as chancellor of Kabul University.
In a ceremony held on this occasion in auditorium of the university, minister of higher education Farida Momand said, “Today I am introducing a figure as Kabul University’s chancellor who has spent years of his life to serve as lecturer of the university.”
Minister of higher education also praised Professor Habibullah Habib, former chancellor of the University for his Works, saying that the former chancellor of the university had shown professionalism during his tenure.
Afterwards, Hamidullah Farooqi spoke and pledged that in cooperation with lecturers and leading body of higher education ministry he would make effort towards providing better academic facilities to students and ending problems of the university’s lecturers.
