Coronavirus; 230 Additional Cases, 16 New Deaths Reported in Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan has recorded 230 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s total cases to 49,970 on Wednesday.

Officials in ministry of public health reported, with 16 new deaths in the last 24 hours, the toll has mounted to 2,017.

The total number of active cases of COVID-19 in the country stands at 8,678, as of Wednesday.

The total discharged cases are at 38,648 with 148 new discharges in the last 24 hours.

It is mentionable that until now 174,711 samples of coronavirus has been tested in laboratories of the ministry across the country, the officials added.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 73,557,491 and the deaths are reported to more than 1,637,053 according to John Hopkins’ global dashboard.
