Kabul (BNA) The National Defense Ministry press sources said, six armed rebels were arrested during mopping up operations and a large number of ammunitions have been seized.
The press office of National Defense Ministry in a statement to BNA said, the national army soldiers arrested 5 armed insurgents in Khogyanee district of Nangarhar province in a mopping up operation.
A Kalashnikov, a set of communication and a quantity of military equipments have been seized from the arrested men.
In a joint operation of ANA in Miadan-Wardak a rebel with a Kalashnikov, 11 gun magazines, a pistol, two mines and car arrested.
Meanwhile in another operation of ANA in Kandahar, a rebel injured, 3 Kalashnikovs, 12 hand grenades, a set I-Cam communication means, 400 Kg explosive materials and 24 anti-personnel mines have been seized and neutralized.
An opposition with a Kalashnikov and a pistol arrested by ANA soldiers from Ghormach district of Farah province and six mines has been seized from related areas of Nimrooz province and Lashkarga city of Helmand province.
