Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA) Heavy casualties sustained to Taliban in a military operation conducted by security forces in Balkh province yesterday.
Mohammad Hanif Rezaee Shaheen 209 army corps spokesman told BNA, in clearing operation of security forces in Doulatabad district, Balkh province, two insurgents were killed and two others have been injured, five other insurgents have been detained.
In the operation, 11 motorbikes of the Taliban, mines, and bombs were seized, Rezaee added.
Several villages of Doulatabad district have been cleared from insurgents and the enemy fled the sit, he added.
The operation continues till annihilation of insurgents in the site, he said.
