Kabul Municipality Disposes of Over 36 Tons of Expired and Low-Quality Food and Health Products

KABUL (BNA) Kabul Municipality’s Environmental Health Directorate took swift action to dispose of more than 36 tons of expired and low-quality food and health products collected from city markets.

The move comes as part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to ensure public health and safety.

Led by Dr. Massoudullah Faqeer, Deputy Head of Kabul Municipality’s Environmental Health Directorate, an authorized team diligently removed items such as milk, yogurt, biscuits, cooking oil, fish, pomegranate paste, various soft drinks, and detergents from the Gazak area located outside the city.

Dr. Faqeer emphasized that Kabul municipal authorities maintain regular control and supervision over the city markets to safeguard public health.

The disposal of these expired and substandard products serves as a preventive measure to protect consumers from potential health risks associated with consuming such items.

He underlined the importance of citizens paying close attention to the expiry dates and quality of food and health items when making purchases.
