Kabul (BNA) The Afghan security forces in several operations in some provinces of the country killed five armed Taliban and arrested nine others.
The Interior Affairs Ministry press office told BNA, the Afghan security forces carried out the operations in related areas of Khost, Helmand, Ghazni and Zabul province.
Five armed Taliban were killed and nine others arrested in these operations by the Afghan security forces, said the source.
It is said a number of weaponries and a quantity of narcotics were also seized by Afghan forces in these operations.
The seized materials included two Kalashnikovs, two PK machine guns, a grenade, 2 Kg of heroin, 30 Kg of hashish and 1 Kg of opium said the source.
Another report said, a woman along with eight pistols have been arrested by National police from entrance gate of Sang Newshta area, eight precinct of Kabul yesterday.
She wanted to carry the arms into the Kabul. The arms were skillfully placed in a corolla car and seized in a chick point, said the source.
