Pul-e-Alam (BNA) A cache of weapons and ammunitions of Taliban militants have been discovered by National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel in central Logar province the night before last.
Spokesman of Logar governor told BNA, the weapons and ammunitions storage contained two Kalashnikovs, 3500 Kalashnikovs’ bullets, 10 mortar shells, 10 bullets of heavy weapon, 8 rounds of anti-vehicle mines, 15 kilograms explosive materials, a vehicle type of Kamaz, a PK-machine gun car and a motorcycle packed explosive materials, which discovered and seized following an operation led by NDS personnel in relevant areas of Kharwar district of Logar province.
A person accused of the case was arrested and he is under investigation now, source added.
It has been said, with discovering of the weapons and ammunitions cache, several bloodiest suicide attacks prevented by NDS in relevant areas of Logar province.
