Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a farewell meeting with Chinese outgoing ambassador to Kabul conferred state medal of Ghazi Mir Masjidi Khan on Liu Jinsong, the Chinese ambassador yesterday at presidential palace.
In the meeting, first, a presidential decree on conferring the state medal on the Chinese ambassador to Kabul was read out by advisor to President on cultural affairs Ustad Asadullah Ghaznfer.
According to the decree, during his mission in Afghanistan, Liu Jinsong has made effort towards consolidation and expansion of relations and further building trust between the two countries as well as absorption and organizing assistance to Afghanistan and showed better capabilities in fulfilling relevant duties in the country.
Afterwards, President Ghani by praising the People’s Republic of China for its cooperation with Afghanistan in various fields conferred the state medal on Liu Jinsong to honor his untiring offerings he has made towards consolidation of further relations an expansion of political, economic and cultural relations between Afghanistan and China.
The out gong Chinese ambassador to Kabul by thanking the President for conferring the state medal of Ghazi Mir Masjidi Khan on him said his country was supporting the Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process, praising the President for his efforts towards ending the war, maintaining peace and stability, economic development and reconstruction of Afghanistan.
