Hundreds Acres of Farmland Supplied With Water

Trenkot (BNA) With the construction of an irrigation canal, the water required for hundreds of acres of fields was provided.

The canal is nearly a thousand meters long and directs mountain springs to fields in the Khairojan area, Trenkot city.

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said, through the Citizenship Pact program, spent 1,700,000 Afghanis to build the canal.

An official from the Uruzgan Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department told BNA that the construction of this irrigation canal provided water for hundreds of acres of farms.

Peasants are happy with the construction of this canal and say that having abundant water will make agriculture prosperous.
