KABUL (BNA): The High Commission for Addressing Challenges of Returnees convened a meeting under the leadership of Deputy PM of Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi.
The session saw the participation of the heads of its twelve sub-committees.
The meeting revolved around various issues concerning returnees. Officials from the respective committees presented reports on their activities, followed by discussions on the distribution of cash assistance and the procurement of essential items such as food, clothing, and housing for Afghan returnees from various countries.
The session concluded with deliberations on the distribution of a $1.8 million cash aid package for returnees, facilitated by the United Arab Emirates. Concrete decisions were made regarding the necessary steps to ensure the effective distribution of this aid.
