Mopping-Up Operation Leaves 16 Anti-Government Militias

Pul-e-Alam City (BNA) About 16 anti-government militias including foreign rebels were killed during a clearing operation conducted by Afghan security forces in eastern Logar province.
Mohammad Hanif Hanifi district governor of Charkh told BNA correspondent, the operation was launched by Afghan Special Forces to suppress armed oppositions, stabilization of government sovereignty, protect the lives and properties of people and ensure peace and stability in insecure areas of Charkh district of the province, as a result 16 militants including 8 foreign insurgents were killed.
Salim Saleh spokesman of Logar’s governor while confirmed the news says, Sana Gul a commander of Taliban terrorist group who led 40-fighters of the group was killed during the operation as well.
