Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar, National Security Advisor met yesterday with Chinese ambassador to Kabul Ding Xi Jong here in Kabul. In the meeting, the Chinese ambassador to Kabul extended condolence of his country’s government and people on the occasion of Afghan civilians’ casualties caused by recent security incidents and strongly condemned the incidents.
The Chinese ambassador said that his country was supporting Afghanistan government’s peace efforts and calling the process’s all involved sides to honestly work for maintaining peace in Afghanistan.
He also said that his country was ready to cooperate with Afghan National Security and Defending Forces (ANDSF) in connection with providing equipment’s.
In return, national security advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar while praising China for its readiness and cooperation in peace talks, economic development and equipping Afghan security and defending forces said Afghanistan and China could play effective role in maintaining peace and rooting out new treats in the region.
The country’s national security advisor assured China that the people of Afghanistan were considering China as their close friend.
