Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Dr. Kamal Sadat has met with the country’s First Lady speaking on issues related to the youths, Bakhtar News Agency said the other day.
Sadat shared issues related to the youths’ program launched by the deputy ministry of information and culture and challenges, they faced over the last one and half year with the First Lady, and said his office has done much for them in the fields of education, professional training, providing microfinance , health services and job opportunities.
He also presented detailed reports about running workshops in different fields for the youths, establishment of youth parliament and that the youth related SAARC, with members from 8 countries, was expected to be held in the next year’s spring, said the agency.
Praising the efforts of the deputy ministry for youth, the country’s First Lady called the youths as the powerful force and future builders of the country, but noted that what has been done for youth was not enough and added much should be done for them, particularly in the areas of education, training and higher education in various skills, the agency added.
The First Lady also lent the organs concerned efforts for women and girls to help them strengthen their capacity and role in different aspects of the society, the agency said.
