Lashkargah (BNA) Eight armed insurgents were killed in a series of conflicts by Afghan security forces in Helmand province last night.
The conflicts occurred in suburb of Lashkarga city, while security forces stormed on two strongholds of Taliban.
A senior commander of national army in the south of the country told BNA, in the clashes, eight Taliban militants were killed.
It is said that no harm and losses incurred to security forces and residents in conflicts.
Another report says that the security forces succeeded to discover a weapons cache of Taliban.
The cache has been discovered in suburb of Lashkargah city.
According to Helmand security official, several heavy and light weapons were seized from the cache.
