“Government Focuses On Development Of Infrastructures”: Khalili

Kabul (BNA) Some elders, influential and youth of Ghour province met yesterday with Mohammad Karim Khalili second vice president and shared their problems with him.
The elders and influential asked for acceleration of building of Kabul-Checghcharan- Herat road that according to them with the completion of this road a major part of their transport problems will be resolved in the central parts of the country and they will largely benefit of its economic benefits as well.
They also expressed concern over security problems of the province and asked for more attention of the government and security organs in this respect.
Non-availability of adequate power, doing away with their problems in education and building of mosque were their other demands.
They also complained over the price of air ticket of Herat-Ghour and requested the government authorities to undertake serious measures for creation of air contact between Kabul and Ghour province.
Khalili said that the government is serious in construction of the road and one of the major programs of the government is development of the infrastructures.
He added that fortunately, Italy and Japan which are of good partners of Afghanistan have been committed themselves for provision of the costs of the road form Herat to Chest Sharif and from there to Cheghcharan and efforts for financing parts of the road is in progress.
He added that provision of power energy is the basic factor for progress of the country and added that not only Ghour but other central provinces of the country posses’ ample water resources and the best possibility for creation of hydro-power plants and hoped that soon the power generating dam is inaugurated in the provinces.
