“Enemy Lacks Capacity To Face Afghan Army Forces”: Azimi

Kabul (BNA) The spokesperson of the National Defense Ministry in a joint press conference with the spokesperson of ISAF and NATO’s civil sector said that after transition of security responsibility no area in country has been taken out from the domination of the National Army.
General Zahir Azimi spokesperson of the National Defense Ministry added, despite the fact that the national army has been confronting problems this year but it has the ability to foil enemies’ planned attacks and this indicates that with withdrawal of the foreign forces, the enemies will not have the ability to face our security forces.
He stressed that after transition of security responsibility from foreign to Afghan security forces no area in the country has been taken out from the government control.
He noted that work on repairing of the national army equipment has been started and the process needs more time.
The spokespersons of ISAF and NATO civil sector once again emphasized on their commitments and added that NATO and ISAF will continue their cooperation with the government and people of Afghanistan in a new mission by the name of “decisive support”.
