Maimana City (BNA) Up to 54 Taliban insurgents were killed and injured following joint military operations led by Afghan security forces in northern Faryab province during the last 24 hours.
In-charge of press office in 209 Shaheen army crops told BNA, the operations were launched in relevant areas of Ghormach and Qaisar districts of the province.
Afghan security forces succeeded to clean-up most areas of the mentioned districts from being of Taliban rebels and now they are in improving, the source added.
