New Building Of National Museum To Be Constructed: Dr. Raheen

Kabul (BNA) The minister for information and culture Dr. Sayed Makhdom Raheen said yesterday that the new building of the national museum would be constructed.
Addressing the distribution ceremony of rewards for wining designs of the new building of national museum, Dr. Raheen said that the national museum of Afghanistan is the memories of our ancestor, the achievement and the pride generated by our ancestor are kept here.
The present building of the national museum was built during the region of king Amanullah in 1922 does not have the capacity to house the present relics.
In the ceremony attended among others by US ambassador among diplomats of friendly countries in Kabul, Dr. Raheen said the ministry for information and culture would continue efforts to find more historical relies in the coming years.
The new building of national museum would be built on eight acres land next to the present building of the museum.
Three out of 72 designs for the new building have won the rewards. US ambassador also spoke on the occasion and assured continued support in this regard.
