Signing Strategic Pact With US, Too Important For The Two Nations, President Karzai

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai met last evening with the members of the US Senate, David Dryer and David price at the presidential palace. 
At the outset, the US Senate members congratulated president Karzai on signing of the Afghan US strategic cooperation agreement and its adoption by the National Assembly of Afghanistan and considered this agreement a very important document for the two countries. 
The US Senate members also informed the president on their meetings with both houses of National Assembly of Afghanistan. 
They also discussed cooperation between the legislative and judiciary bodies of Afghanistan and the US. 
Calling the strategic long-term cooperation agreement between the two nations as very significant, president Karzai expressed the hope that this document would lead peace, stability and reduction of civilian casualties in military operations. 
He added that civilian casualties during the military operations in Afghanistan a real threat to the people.
