Deputy PM: Foreign Aids Cannot Solve Our Problems Forever

KABUL(BNA) Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Deputy prime minister of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan addressing the of 26th inauguration of “Spring Farmer Festival” says foreign aids cannot solve our country’s problems forever, we must all work hard for the self-sufficiency of our country.

Baradar says, Afghanistan’s agriculture products are major supportive components of Afghanistan’s exports, that help through Afghan farmers connecting with region countries specially neighboring countries.

Deputy prime minister addressing the festival said “soon a major project will be launched, that will cover irrigating half of the country’s land adding Islamic Emirate is committed supporting agribusiness and farmers of our country by strengthening the agriculture sector, mechanizing the country’s agriculture, building canals, exporting agriculture products to markets, and distributing improved seeds are among the priorities of Islamic Emirate.

In the meantime, acting Minister Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock says the ministry had planted 25 million fruitful and non-fruitful saplings thoroughly the country this year, in the festival minister Rashid called on all countryman to take part on the protection of the national asset.

He called on all national and international investors and traders to invest in Afghanistan’s agricultural sector and assured that the ministry is ready to provide them with all facilities.

At the end of the ceremony, the officials of the Islamic Emirate opened an exhibition of agricultural products, they raised the flag of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and also visited various products

The festival holds annually in Kabul with the starts of new year’s organized by ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock in support of Agriculturist, dozens of booths provided for industrials, businessmen, and farmers across the country, to expo their products.

It’s must be said the mentioned festival is launched today at the Badam Bagh Research Farm in Kabul, and will be open for at least three days from the starts to visitors.
