Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA) Balkh police arrested nine men on suspicion of criminal offenses in the province.
Adel Shah Adel, spokesman for Balkh Police Command, told BNA that the anti-criminal personnel arrested the men in several separate operations in the province.
He added that the suspects were already being pursued by police on suspicion of kidnapping, armed robbery, and poisoning of passengers inside a vehicle in order to obtain their money and valuables.
He added that the detainees also seized a Kalashnikov, a quantity of poisonous substances, several mobile phones and six vehicles without documents and forged license plates.
