Aibak (BNA) Three Taliban leaders with 16 associates of this group were killed in Samangan province yesterday.
Mohammad Hanif Rezaee Shaheen 209 army corps spokesman told BNA, the insurgents were killed in clearing operations of security and defense forces in outskirt of Doab district.
In the conflict, 11 other Taliban rebels have been detained and two insurgents were injured, numerous of heavy and light weapons, with nine motorbikes and numerous of ammunition were also seized by Afghan security forces, said Rezaee.
