NSC Seeks Ways To End Traffic Jam

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani presided over the meeting of National Security Council (NSC) here the other day.
At the outset of the meeting, as per agenda, presidential advisor on national security, Mohammad Hanif Atmar presented his report on the priorities and steps in security and defense sector of the country which were endorsed by the participants. At the meeting, the deputy to the NSC, Mohammad Ibrahim Qasimi presented his proposal about alternative way for government’s high ranking officials and the country decided that except emergency cases no specific way for their movement is allowed. It was also decided in the meeting that the high ranking officials should respect traffic law and should not create traffic problems for Kabul residents. Advisor to the office of National Security Council, Enayatullah Qasimi presented his report on torture elimination and it was stated in the meeting that torture in no case is acceptable. The NSC in the meeting decided that all government entities are responsible to say no to the torture.  NSC in the meeting also approved the policy to reduce the casualties of security forces but stressed that the security organs are responsible to fulfill the program. The meeting also instructed the ministries for defense and interior to improve the modalities of recruitment of soldiers and Sergeants. At the end of the meeting, the security situation of the country was also reviewed and necessary instructions were given to the security organs’ officials of the country.
