81 Taliban Insurgents Killed in Sar-e-Pul, Jawzjan Highway: MoD

Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of National Defense says that eighty-one armed Taliban were killed last night in operations by security forces and popular uprisings along the Sar-e-Pul, Jawzjan highway and the outskirts of Sheberghan.
Fawad Aman, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense, told BNA that the operation was carried out with the support of the air force on the Sar-e-Pul Jawzjan highway and the city of Sheberghan in central Jawzjan, in which 81 armed Taliban, including their six commanders, were killed and 45 others, including one of their commanders, Naqibullah, known as Jundi, were wounded.
During the operation, a large amount of Taliban weapons, ammunition and equipment also fell into the hands of the defense and security forces.
