President Ghani Inaugurates Road, Park in Parwan

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani during his visit to Parwan province, inaugurated Jabal Seraj-Nejrab road.
According to BNA report, during the ceremony, congratulating the people of Parwan and Kapisa for the inauguration of the road, the President said that the inauguration of the road was very significant for the people of the two provinces and transferring their agriculture products. The President thanked the people of Parwan province for their cooperation with the country’s security and defense forces for launching successful operations in Kapisa province said the procurements work on creation of road from Bagram Crossroad to Jabal Seraj would be completed within the next one week. Road between Jabal Seraj and Nejrab with the total length of 50 kilometers, in two phases had been completed. The second phase extending from Mahmoud Raqi to Nejrab, with the length of 27.5 kilometers has earlier been inaugurated, while the first phase from Jabal Seraj to Mahmoud Raqi with the length of 22.48 kilometers inaugurated by the President on Monday.
The President also inspected the construction work process of Jabal Seraj Palace said; “I have instructed the reconstruction of the Jabal Seraj historical palace and hope the forty-year war-destroyed areas change into the people exploitable sites, when the country marks 100th Independence Anniversary of Afghanistan next year.” Work on Paghman Bagh-e-Bala building is going on and the Presidential Palace is at the final reconstruction and restoration process, he said, adding that work on Dar-ul-Aman Palace, Tajbik Palace and other monuments in Laghman and Nangarhar provinces going on. The Palaces belonged to the entire people of Afghanistan and any of them was a national park, the President hoping a special sum to be considered in the next years’ budget for restoration of the historical and cultural heritages. The President, also during his visit to Parwan province, inaugurated Barikab Industrial and Agricultural Park and called it a great step to help Afghanistan turn into a fruit and vegetable exporting country. The Industrial and Agricultural Park is built on up to 1025 acres of land and up to 65 land-plots have been distributed among the investors and 340 others ready for distribution.
